Variations nos. 1-9 all follow a self-evident scheme, though I admit that I am stretching the definition of 'variations'. I found a neat five-note motif that could be mangled around in all sorts of interesting shapes and painted with groovy hues.

I flirt with atonality in variations nos. 12-16. It's something I've been curious about for a long time, but I hadn't worked out a conceptual structure in which it would have a meaningful place until I started working on this project. I feel that there is space for it here in this hodgepodge of ideas.
Nos. 12-16 were created with fragments that were derived directly from nos. 1-9, though they are usually contorted beyond all recognition.

The rest of the tracks don't necessitate any explanation, especially for anyone familiar with my previous work.

I freed myself up in these pieces, and I had a lovely time.
